The RESPONDER Technical Data & FAQ

The Responder is the latest Technical DEVELOPMENT within the ( ES ) Energy Saving and protection of -- window and Central ( A/C ) Air Conditioning units .

The Responder will cause the max. saving of energy, along with protection of the ( A/C ) Air Conditioner enabling its operation ONLY at the present of persons in the conditioned space .

After Installation of the Responder , there will NEVER occur any situation that the A/C will operate at a space without the presence of persons – WHICH is a MAJOR CAUSE of waste of money and energy!!!

Principles of operation :

The Responder includes (the presence of) a ( PIR ) Passive Infra Red Sensor and an operation unit , responsible for the protection and timing of the A/C .

The Responder’s is operating in a specific wide coverage , continuously following after the presence of any person in the controlled space .

At the moment that some person movement is being detected by any PIR , the Sensor will hand over a suitable signal to the operation unit of the Resopnder , which will, in his turn, operate the A/C ( or leave it operating ) .

If a person presence is not detected by the Sensor within a specific time (programmable by the A/C user ) the A/C will be shut off .

The A/C could be shut off also by the operating unit with an “ON OFF switch .

The operation system includes also a protection delay system for the A/C , so that the A/C will not be operated within a certain period of less than 4 minutes from its shut off .

Responder capabilities :

** The delay period from its movement detection could be programmed – by

small switches ( DIP SWITCH ) .

** The Responder has high sensitively for identefication of any entrance to the

space .

** There is a possibility of operation of the A/C via an ON OFF switch located

on the operation unit front panel.

** Triac – Static operation ( without any moving and Electromechanical parts)

with a higher reliability and long lasting .

** Delay : The Responder will prevent a new operation of the A/C before the 4

minutes period since it was shut off , this fact would enable to adjust and

balance any pressures within the A/C compressor , and will protect the

reliability of the compressor and its electrical motor

** A clever and identification memory

** Suitable for an A/C up to 5 HP

** Simple installation

** A BS certified house sockets (other electrical sockets may be specified).

** There is a special model for Fan & Coil units in a central A/C systems.

** There are also other models which include micro switches by the entrance

door for Hotel rooms
